From design, planning, building regs and construction, we have a wealth of Designers, Architects, Engineers and Tradesmen, if you require a new build, complete renovation, structural works, refurbishment or adaptation of your existing property, we can design, manage, build and deliver your extension, loft conversion, renovation, kitchen, bathroom, decoration or bedroom to the highest possible standard.
First contact
You only have to start your journey with Distinction by contacting us, both phone or by email, we are here to help. One of the office team will discuss your initial requirements, gather the information we need and book in a survey with either Gareth or Don, or any other relevant Architect or Engineer so don’t worry if you don’t have any plans, as long as you have a dream, we can make it happen.
We can’t wait to meet you
Once on site we can discuss your needs, hopes and aspirations as well as all the options available. We will note key information about the site to include specific measurements where applicable. Its at this point that you can ask us any questions about timescales, how the site will be managed and if we have examples of this type of work that you can go and look at.
Quotation
Once we have taken a look on site, we go back to the office to create a quotation for you. Its normally detailed for each specific rooms so its an easy read, not just a jumble of figures. On the rare occasion you need costs back asap, we can sometimes provide budget price figures for you to work from. If there are any unknown items of design or supply, we can always provide provisional sums to guide you on what the overall cost will be.
Meet our existing clients
Don’t just take our word for it, we normally have clients in an around the area that will have had a similar type of work done to your proposed project, on some occasions we can contact them and ask if it is ok for you to pop round, this will give you a chance to see our work and ask what we were really like to have on site.
Acceptance
If we are fortunate enough to be your favoured builder to create the project of your dreams, it at this point you can Relax… It’s Built By Distinction.
This is now an exciting time, will get a date in the diary that works for us all and projected a timeline for completion.
Depending on the size of the project, we can create a plain English Federation of Master Builders contract which details the cost, work involved and payment schedule, so everyone knows what is required and when.
The Distinction Team Arrive
As you can imagine, if it’s a small project such as decorating a room, to keep the costs down I think we can manage between us and our decorators, if however it’s a medium to larger size project then you likely to need a dedicated Manager/Supervisor on site that will be working daily with the rest of the Distinction team to create your project, this way you can speak daily about specific designs or even add/change items along the way.
Please note, although you have a working Manager/supervisor on site, Gareth and Don are still on hand, we will both be in the background ordering specific materials for the site, engaging specific specialists if required and also making regular site visits.
Completion of works
Before we finish, we will snag our own work and check the quality of finish, after that we are also here on hand if there is anything you pick up that you just not quite happy with so we can achieve your full satisfaction.
Photos, drones and website
If your project is a medium to larger project, we may ask if we can take some photos, this is totally at your discretion but if accepted, we employ a professional photographer who may even create some drone footage from above, we may add this to our website to show other clients what we have achieved and as a special thank you, we will give you a full copy of all photos and drone footage for you to keep.
You’re now a Client of Distinction
Once we are all done, we might have left site, but we are not gone, we are always on hand if there is anything you need to check. You’re now a Client of Distinction.
